Pre - or Post - Cruise Itinerary

Many travelers come from varying states to board their Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International or Disney Cruise Line ships from the port of Galveston. Early boarding times mean that out-of-state guests may need to arrive in Galveston the day prior to departure.

Salt Water Gift Shop has what you need to make the best of your day in Galveston! Here’s a list of ideas available right from our shop:

  • Rent a surrey bike – This four-wheeled, covered bike is perfect for couples and families looking for a leisurely way to see the beaches and city. With two-, four- and six-seat capacity, your will be discovering Galveston in no time.

  • Take an e-scooter for a spin – Renting e-scooters for the gang is a fun way to zip around Galveston Island. Zoom on over to the beaches, shops and restaurants on a motorized two-wheel scooter. With fresh wind in your hair, it’s a great time for all.

  • Bike the island – For those interested in a more conventional route about town, stop by Salt Water to rent a comfortable two-wheeled beach cruiser. Ring that bell and fill up your basket with Galveston souvenirs.

  • Go beachcombing – If you and your loved ones are ready to work on your tan and stroll the beaches, Salt Water Gift Shop offers beach umbrellas and chairs along with towels, water toys, swim apparel and a variety of snacks and cold drinks. Many passengers simply want to feel the warm sand beneath their toes and the cool ocean waves on their feet before they begin their Caribbean adventure.

  • Surf the waves – Galveston is a great place to hang ten and catch a wave. We rent boogie boards, skim boards, and water floats by the hour or by the day. You’ll score a perfect ten at Salt Water Gift Shop.

  • Visit an attraction – Ready for a full-day outing? Splash away at Schlitterbahn for a great water park. For thrilling rides and amusements, visit Pleasure Pier.
